A Christmas message from the team

A Christmas message from the team

Merry Christmas from all the team here at G.N. Badley & Sons – we hope you are looking forward to tucking into a feast of quality meat at the table over the next few days.

We just wanted to drop you a line to say a heart-felt thank you for all of your support and friendship during what has been another unpredictable year for us all.

Once again, the challenges of Covid have forced us all to live and work slightly differently, and adapt our lives to the challenges which quite clearly still exist.

Here at G.N. Badley & Sons, Covid-safe screens remain on our counters for everyone’s safety, and enhanced sanitisation and cleaning systems have now become a way of life.

We’ve tried to meet everyone’s diverse needs over the festive period – catering not only for the growing number of people who wanted to take the risk out of Christmas by buying and freezing their meat earlier than usual, but also for the many of you who love coming into store to pick up your fresh produce as close as possible to the big day.

It’s always our busiest time of the year, so we are sorry if there has been a longer than usual delay in responding to phone calls or emails while we attend to customers in the store, or if queues have been longer than usual.

We always pride ourselves on offering a five-star service, and would like to thank all of you who have said such nice things about us this year. Your endorsements, and support, really do matter, and make a difference.

It’s always great to be able to give something back to the local community, too, and we once again ran a popular ‘win a Christmas hamper’ giveaway.

This year, the first name out of the hat was one of our long-time customers Sally Bingley – she had already collected her Christmas turkey from us, but was delighted to pick up more tasty supplies!

We were also pleased to be able to donate packs of sausages to our neighbours at Holy Trinity church in Wrockwardine Wood on Christmas Eve to help supply festive food packs for the needs. The delivery was boosted by donations from customers. Again, thank you for your kindness.

And we have supported two giveaways in the Shropshire Star and Express & Star newspapers this year too – one around the football world cup, and the other just a few weeks ago offering 10 readers the chance of a Christmas feast.

We very much see ourselves as part of the community, and when we have an opportunity to give something back, we always want to help where we can.

So once again, on behalf of the entire team, a huge thanks for your support and encouragement this year.

We hope you have a happy, and most importantly of all healthy Christmas and New Year, and look forward to seeing you very soon.

Simon, Kay, and the G.N. Badley & Sons team
