Christmas Eve food parcels for those who need them most...

Christmas is a time for giving – and today we are delighted to have been able to hand over a bumper festive food package to Holy Trinity Church in Wrockwardine Wood for use in their festive food parcels.

We gave more than 100 sausages, plus pork pie, sausage rolls, eggs and Scotch eggs, to church warden and food share administrator Kerry Debenham when she came into store on Christmas Eve.

The supplies have been boosted by several donations from some of our loyal customers, for which we are very grateful.

The packs will be given out to those who need them most, at the church, between 7pm and 9pm tonight.

The food parcels are designed for those who need a little bit of help at what can be a difficult and costly time of the year, to tide them over. We are delighted to be able to support this, and to give something back to our local community.

Kerry said: “The Badley’s products are part of the three-day food parcels which we are putting together, which will also include a supply of vegetables to help people through.”

So, if Christmas is a tough time for your family this year and you need a helping hand to get by, drop into the church, in Church Road, from 7pm to 9pm this evening and pick up a parcel.

We’re glad to have been able to play our own small part in making Christmas that little bit easier for some local people this year.
