COMPETITION: Chance to win a Christmas meat hamper

We are running a competition to give away a free Christmas meat hamper to a local Good Samaritan - and appealing for people to nominate deserving causes for this very special festive feast.

The winner will receive one of the new G.N. Badley & Sons festive meat hampers, which includes a 1.5kg bacon-wrapped turkey breast, a 1kg gammon joint, 12 pigs in blankets, a pork, sage and onion stuffing tray, large pork pie, plus a dozen pork sausages, and a dozen rashers of dry cured back bacon.

The competition is open until November 25, and nominations can be made here

Managing director Simon Badley said: “We know that it’s been difficult for many people this year, and that for some families, Christmas won’t be quite the way they wanted.

“So we thought it was important to be able to put a smile on people’s faces – and reward someone who has gone the extra mile over the past few months, and deserves a special treat.”

All the Badley’s team needs is the name and address of the person being nominated, and up to 500 words of explanation about why they deserve to win the hamper.

A dedicated online ordering site has been created – and a local delivery service will be available for people who either cannot, or do not want to collect from the store.
